Having the right Wedding Day prep space is CRUCIAL to a stress-free morning. Below are some of our tips for how to make sure you have everything you need the morning of your Wedding!

Bridal Suite

Here's a list of things that your bridal suite should have on your wedding day...

  • Table space - most hair stylists need a 2ft x 1ft surface, while makeup artists need a 3ft x 2 ft surface at minimum. If you have multiple artists coming to work your wedding, make sure you have enough table space for your artists to have room for their equipment.

  • Lots of seating - there will be a lot of down time for your bridal party, make sure you have sofas and chairs for them to lounge comfortably while they are waiting for their service.

  • A refrigerator or cooler - it's so important to stay hydrated and fed the day of your wedding, you don't want anyone to be dehydrated or starving during the ceremony. Make sure you have lots of drinks and snacks/meals for your bridal party.

  • Natural lighting/lots of windows - natural lighting makes things easier for your photographer and your beauty team, and your photos just look so much better! Make sure your bridal prep space has a lot of options for natural lighting.

  • Hooks, a closet or rolling rack to hang dresses - while I recommend everyone should steam their dresses the night before a wedding, it's good to have a space where everyone can hang their dresses to keep them clean and from wrinkling. And if you have to steam the day of, do it BEFORE getting your hair and makeup done.

  • Counter space for food, drinks, gifts, etc. - this goes along with table space as well, but you can never have too much counter space... you'll have a lot more stuff than you think, trust me.

  • Full length mirror - you have to check out the fit!

What To Bring

Here's a list of things that you should bring to your bridal suite on your wedding day...

  • Comfy/cute outfit for prep - Please make sure your Getting Ready outfit is either a button or zip up and does not pull down over your head, that way once your hair and makeup is done you won't mess it up when you change into your dress.

  • Slippers / comfy shoes

  • Box with items for detail shots - your invitation, rings, shoes, jewelry, important items you want your photographer to shoot for your detail shots.

  • Bluetooth speaker

  • Phone charger

  • Steamer (if you didn't do it the night before)

  • Any touch up makeup you might need - most MUA's provide you with a touch up kit, but if there's anything specific you want to bring for touch ups (I.e. if you use your own lip color, powder, etc.)
