Hello new friends and welcome to my website! I'm Jessie, founder, owner, head makeup artist and whatever other professional-sounding title you want to give me. I've been doing makeup professionally since 2016 starting in Columbus, Ohio. In January of 2022, I decided to pack up and move to Los Angeles, California where I live now. I'm so happy in LA and genuinely feel like it's the best fit for me!
As a makeup artist, I believe that I can achieve many different looks and styles of makeup. If I had to pick a favorite brand, it would definitely be Charlotte Tilbury. I love that soft, glowy look that a lot of her products can create. But also love an excuse for a dramatic smokey eye or pops of color.
I love managing JRice Beauty Team and working with my incredible team of artists! Thankfully most of my work can be done digitally and remotely, which is why I am able to successfully manage my Ohio based team all the way in sunny Southern California (I don't miss the snow!)
In my spare time, you'll find me binging The Office (I am a superfan), taking my dog to Rosie's Dog Beach in Long Beach, DIYing some sort of project, going on hikes, exploring new parts of LA, etc. I like to stay busy!

Q- What’s your favorite thing to do in your free time?
A- When I’m not working on stuff with the team, I’m either working my own clients in LA, spending time (specifically cooking) with my beautiful partner or binge watching one of my emotional support shows (the office, friends, parks and rec, new girl…).
Q- What’s your favorite current Wedding hair or makeup look?
A- I’m currently jumping at any opportunity to do subtle natural-glowy skin, pop of blush and a subtle neutral toned eyeshadow with a soft smudged brown shadow liner.
Q- What’s your favorite part of a wedding day?
A- I ALWAYS hope that I get to be there when the Bride puts her dress on and sees the complete finished look. It’s so hard to imagine when you just have one piece, between the dress and the hair and the makeup. But when they’re all together? It’s magical!
Q- Tell us one random fun fact about you!
A- I am deathly terrified of spiders. They literally send my full body into shock and fear.
